Deliciously Healthy Donuts (gluten-free, sugar-free, dairy-free)

Oh-so-delicious healthy, unrefined, sugar-free, gluten-free & dairy-free donuts that can be made in just 20 minutes. Choose between a heavenly chocolate glaze or a creamy vanilla-banana frosting for your donuts. Simple, delicious & nutritious!

Ingredients (donuts: makes 6-8):

-1/2 cup almond flour

-1/2 cup coconut oil

-1/2 cup stone ground, organic millet flour

-1 ripe banana

-2 fresh, free range eggs

-1/4 cup agave syrup

-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

-1 teaspoon raw ground vanilla

-pinch of sea salt

Ingredients (chocolate glaze):

-1/4 cup coconut oil

-4 tablespoons cacao powder (raw cocoa)

-3 tablespoons 100% pure maple syrup

-1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

-1/2 teaspoon raw ground vanilla

-pinch sea salt

Ingredients (vanilla-banana frosting):

-50g cacao butter (raw, cold-pressed cocoa butter)

-1/2 ripe banana

-2 tablespoons 100% pure maple syrup

-1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

-1/4 teaspoon raw ground vanilla

-pinch sea salt

Instructions (donuts):

-Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius/ 360 degrees Fahrenheit

-melt the coconut oil

-mash or blend the banana til smooth

-mix the coconut oil and banana in a bowl with the almond flour, millet flour, eggs, agave, sea salt, vanilla and cinnamon.

-once mixed, pour the mixture into a donut pan or mold (like a muffin pan, but for donuts)

-place into the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes

-remove from oven

-remove donuts from molds and leave them to cool while you prepare the icing

Instructions (chocolate glaze):

-melt the coconut oil so that it is soft and not liquid

-mix the coconut oil with the cacao powder, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla and sea salt

-mix til smooth

-spread onto the cooled donuts with a blunt butter knife

-add desired sprinkles (coconut flakes, cacao nibs, chopped nuts, etc.)

-place in fridge to set

-serve, eat and enjoy

Instructions (vanilla-banana frosting):

-melt the cacao butter

-mash or blend the banana until smooth (no lumps)

-mix the cacao butter and the banana with the maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla and sea salt

-dip the donuts into the frosting (face down)

-repeat dipping 2-3 times for each donut

-add desired sprinkles (unsweetened dried blueberries, cinnamon, coconut flakes, pistachio nuts, etc.)

-place in fridge to set

-serve, eat and enjoy
