I love to make these superfood bites for a quick and easy snack!
They are so yummy and so healthy – which is really great, and they are super easy to make!

I love to keep them in the fridge and snack on them if I am hungry between meals. It can be so easy to grab something unhealthy to eat in moments when you are hungry but this can often lead to feeling gross later… so sometimes it’s good to be prepared! These can be whipped up in just a few minutes and saved for those hungry moments!

They are really yummy, are packed with goodness and made with superfoods!
What is a superfood? A superfood is a food that is considered to be beneficial for ones health because it is very rich in nutrients.

I created these superfood bites because they are packed with vitamins, minerals, good protein and healthy essential fats. They are therefore an ideal snack or treat because they are tasty and they will keep you going from one meal to the next if you are feeling like you need an extra boost.

Here’s the ingredients that I use…

Ingredients:

-8 tablespoons cacao butter (raw, cold-pressed cocoa butter)
-6 tablespoons cold-pressed coconut oil
-3 tablespoons hemp seeds
-3 tablespoons goji berries
-2 tablespoons raw cacao nibs
-1 big handful raw almonds
-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
-1 teaspoon raw vanilla powder
-2 or 3 teaspoons raw honey (can use pure agave syrup for a vegan substitute)
-pinch of Himalayan sea salt

Here’s how I make them… it’s easy!

Instructions:

-melt the cacao butter and the coconut oil by pouring boiling water into a large bowl and a placing smaller bowl into the water (without burning your hands or getting water into the small bowl), then place the cacao butter and coconut oil into the small bowl and wait for them to melt

-once melted, pour the cacao butter and the coconut oil into a mixing bowl and blend with the honey, the cinnamon, the vanilla powder and the sea salt

-add the goji berries, the hemp seeds, the almonds and the cacao nibs to the bowl and mix well

-pour the mixture into molds or into empty ice trays

-place in the freezer for 15-30 minutes (or until set)

-remove the Superfood Bites from the molds and store in a cool, dry place (or in the fridge)

-eat as a snack or a nutritious treat & enjoy!
