Fig, Macadamia & Pistachio Chocolate Bars (healthy, sugar-free, dairy-free)
Delicious, sweet, sticky and absolutely addictive are just a few possible ways to describe these healthy, raw, sugar-free & dairy-free chocolate bars.
The rich flavor of perfect chocolate surrounds the exotic flavors of dried figs, pistachio’s and macadamia nuts and will send you into chocolate heaven.
Ingredients:
-100 grams cold-pressed cacao butter (raw cocoa butter)
-8 tablespoons cold-pressed coconut oil
-8 tablespoons cacao powder (raw cocoa powder)
-8 teaspoons 100% pure maple surup
-8 whole dried figs (unsweetened and preservative free)
-1/2 cup raw macadamia nuts
-1/4 cup raw pistachio nuts (shells removed)
-pinch of sea salt
-1 teaspoon raw ground vanilla (or pure unsweetened vanilla extract)
-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions:
-melt the cacao butter and the coconut oil by pouring boiling water into a large bowl and a placing smaller bowl into the water (without burning your hands or getting water into the small bowl), then place the cacao butter and coconut oil into the small bowl and wait for them to melt.
-chop the dried figs in half and then into small chunks
-pour the melted cacao butter and coconut oil into a mixing bowl, then add the cacao powder into the bowl by pouring it through a sieve. Mix them well.
-now add the pure maple syrup, the vanilla, the cinnamon and the sea salt
-then add the chopped figs, the macadamia nuts and the pistachio nuts to the chocolate and mix well
-pour the mix into empty ice cube strays or molds (use a long and thin ones to make a bar shape)
-place into the freezer for 20-30 minutes or until completely solid
-remove from freezer and store in fridge
-eat and enjoy
