Sauteed Button Mushrooms with Toasted Almonds & Mixed Herbs
Button mushrooms sauteed with macadamia nut oil, toasted almonds and mixed herbs until caramelized and golden.
This is one of my favorite dishes to serve as an appetizer, as part of breakfast or brunch, in a salad or with dinner.
This simple dish is full of flavor and can easily be made in 5 minutes!
Ingredients:
-250 grams button mushrooms
-1/4 cup raw almonds
-1 teaspoon cold-pressed macadamia nut oil
-oregano
-rosemary
-thyme
-sea salt
*oregano, rosemary, thyme and sea salt are added to personal taste
(serves 2-8)
Instructions:
-rinse mushrooms
-halve mushrooms
-roughly chop the raw almonds
-add the macadamia nut oil to a pan over a medium-high heat
-fry the almonds until they become toasted and golden
-add the mushroom halves to the pan and sautee with the toasted almonds
-add the sea salt, oregano, rosemary and thyme to the pan (to taste)
-sautee the mushrooms until fully cooked, caramelized and slightly golden
-serve hot
-eat and enjoy
